Tomorrow’s impending snow made me recall this blog post, which someone tweeted a few weeks ago.
The author, Andy Bechtel, asked his son, a seventh-grader, how he and his friends find out about closings and delays, and his son said Instagram. A few years ago, the answer from high school students was Facebook, Bechtel writes.
So I wonder: how do you get your school closing news? When I was a kid, I remember listening to the radio more often that watching the television for closings. But there are so many other options these days.
Do you go through the traditional sources, wait for the automated call from the school district, or turn to Twitter, Facebook or district websites?
